ALL ABOUT GATHER_STATS_JOB in Oracle 11g and Oracle 10g.

Recently i got an opportunity to work on GATHER_STATS_JOB as a part of upgrading my database from 10.2.0.2 to 11.2.0.3.4. I thought of sharing my knowledge which i got.

1) How to disable or enable the job?

In 10g, by default it will be enabled where as in oracle 11g, it is disabled. As per our requirement we may need to enable or disable this job.  Following is the method to find weather it is enabled or disable.
